Michael on Spring Roundup in the Henries
The family bed!
May 13th- This kid "graduated" from his first year of preschool today!! I feel like I should say time flies but honestly the last 4 years have "flown" like molasses! 😂😂 #3kidsin4years
Becoming a family of three kids 3 and under has been challenging- I am almost always occupied taking care of the most urgent needs, which usually come from the baby or the 2 year old. Someone is always neglected and it's usually Levi
It makes me kind of sad that I can't spend more time with my buddy but also so grateful that he's growing in independence and can take care of most of his own needs now.
I am so proud of the boy he is growing in to. I'm too hard on him too often and expect a lot from him but he loves me fiercely anyway and that always humbles me. It's such a privilege to raise these cute souls. I sure love them!!
New highlights for Mother's day!
May 14th- I had to take a phone call in the toy aisle of Walmart...good thing I have Alida and Levi to do my shopping for me. I guess we can go now!
May 14th-
These cute kiddos went to the special dentist today and did GREAT! They did great with the x-rays and let the doctor look in their mouth and clean their teeth- this was not the case in the past!! I'm so proud of them!
If you haven't looked closely, you wouldn't know both of them were born with a genetic defect where they don't have any enamel on their teeth. That means that their teeth are small, brownish, and wear down easily. In order to preserve something for them to chew with, each of them requires caps on all of their teeth (16 of them!!). Each cap costs between $200- $300 each, not including anesthesia costs, so you can imagine how not cheap this is!! Next month Levi will be getting porcelain crowns on his front teeth and Alida will get silver crowns on all of her back teeth.
I remember last year first finding out about the cost of this for Levi and being totally overwhelmed. $5000 just for Levi. I sat in the parking lot of the dentists' office feeling totally depressed. I felt so helpless knowing our kids needed something that we had no ability to pay for. Sure there was always credit. But it was yet ANOTHER unexpected medical expense that would have to be put on a line of credit with no prospect of ever making enough extra money to ever pay more than a minimum payment. We had been living so sparsely for so long, it was just exhausting.
Never-ending debt. It felt like a grinding millstone around my neck. We kept getting further and further behind each month, all while my husband was working his TAIL off, including lots of overtime, to support us. It felt like we were sinking- barely treading water.
Fast forward to today. Again, the doctor talked casually about the super costly treatment they would need, but I didn't feel defeated this time. You see, today is my Plexus payday, and there is money in the bank. It's still an expense we'll have to save for, but I make enough in a couple months to cover it, so it's not a big stress. The credit card balance is at zero.
Even though my husband's paycheck was smaller than expected this month, I don't have to stress out of my mind on whether to cut the food budget or gas budget...again. In fact, I actually bought some shoes and clothes for the kids at the store today- something we NEVER had money for in the past. We were even able to finally get that smoker grill that we've dreamed of for years that was on sale- and not have to use the credit card! There's still money in the bank for all the bills.
Do you know how big of a deal that is?!!! I finally feel like we can meet life with the resources we need! Not slowly drowning or chasing the day when we'll finally be caught up- and me helpless to do anything about it. And do you know what kind of breathing room does for quality of life?? For your marriage??
I'm sharing this because I know SO many people that know what it's like to have more month at the end of the money. Because I understand the grinding misery that comes from always falling further behind despite your absolute best efforts. I never intended to start a business with Plexus. But when I shared what had happened to me after just 2 weeks on these supplements and over 40 friends asked me what I was doing, I realized there were a lot of people that were feeling tired and miserable and suffering in silence. I can guarantee the same thing applies to your life. And the financial blessings are becoming almost as great as the health blessing.
This business works because the products do! Period. I just share my heart and let those who want the help come to me. Anyone can do that if they are willing. It's not about being pushy- that's the worst thing you can do. It's not about sales. It's about opening your heart and serving others- and there is SO much need.
It's about being home with your kids and working on your schedule and being connected to others. It's about being real. It's about being guided to those who need you. It's about earning financial freedom as you help and serve others. It's about connecting with incredible, supportive women as you learn how to serve more effectively. For me, it's Spirit directed and I LOVE it. I am SO grateful the Lord led me to this, and today I am especially grateful for the chance I have to breath and feel joy on a payday and not wince in pain.
If you're looking for any of those things, I'd love to have you join us. It's such a beautiful thing. We do life together and there is so much strength in being part of a team. Again, I don't intend to brag, but I've figured out how to make this work - in a way that means people don't avoid you in the supermarket and not invite you to Thanksgiving anymore. And in a way that means you can win trips, incentives, and get your products paid for easily. If you are willing to work 10-20 hours a week and stick with it, you can be on track to a six figure income in 2 years. I'd love to help you do the same.
Sorry this turned into a novel! If you are intrigued, you know where to find me.
I'd love to hear from you and answer any questions.
Getting out of the house with 3!
Dad got a smoker for Father's day- best gift ever!!
May 15th- I haven't posted any pictures of cute Caleb in awhile and his fans are complaining!
He pretty much only does two things - eat and sleep, so here he is sleeping! He's been a great baby, sleeping through the night since about week 4 so we're all well rested!! He's almost 2 month old now! And he's chunking up really nicely

May 18th- The cutest little boy!! But so sad when he wants milk!
May 20th- You guys!! My resting heart rate is now the lowest it's ever been!! DOWN almost 40 beats per minute since Oct 2017 (when I started Plexus)!!
Know anyone with heart issues? Arrhythmia? Hear murmur? Racing heart? Heart issues are scary!! I want to share with you another significant milestone in my personal health journey.
Before starting Plexus I was VERY worried about my heart. I had arrhythmia, my heart was skipping beats, and I was wondering if I wasn't going to have to get a Pacemaker! I also found out my grandma had Atrial fibrillation (Afib-which put her in the hospital) and I likely did as well. I got EKGs and wore heart monitors because after my 2nd baby my RESTING heart rate was irregular and near 100 beats per minute. 100!!! That's what it should be when you're exercising, not sitting on the couch!
My heart was acting like it was in distress at all times, and working WAY too hard. And let me tell you what- heart issues are scary. We've lost 3 family members in the last 4 years to heart attacks. But it was yet another mystery symptom that the doctors had no answers for except "let's keep an eye on it".
I had NO idea that Plexus would have any affect on my heart. I started taking Plexus in October of 2017, and got a FitBit 2 months later. As I mentioned, before Plexus my resting heart rate was in the upper 90s. After 2 months on Plexus it was 82 bpm- which was a huge improvement. Now, after a year and a half of steady improvement, it's the lowest it's ever been at 62 BMP. Down almost 40 beats per minute. Can you imagine the reduced stress on my heart over the years?
This is also significant because I haven't added exercise into my routine. (I'm still working on this!!) My heart rate isn't getting better because I'm exercising more. My heart is getting better because I'm giving my body the tools it needs to reduce inflammation, help with insulin resistance, improve gut health and even infusing my body with oxygen (did you now that BioCleanse does that??) With those tools, my body isn't in a constant state of distress.
Did you know that your resting heart rate is one of the most effective ways to gauge overall health? And a lower heart rate indicates a higher level of physical fitness and significantly lowers your chances for a "cardiac event" such as a heart attack. On the other hand, a high resting heart rate "could be a sign of an increased risk of cardiac risk in some situations, as the more beats your heart has to take eventually takes a toll on its overall function.” (See article below from Harvard Health). It also increases risk for cardiovascular disease and even early death.
Again from the article:
"A 2013 study in the journal Heart tracked the cardiovascular health of about 3,000 men for 16 years and found that a high resting heart rate was linked with lower physical fitness and higher blood pressure, body weight, and levels of circulating blood fats. The researchers also discovered that the higher a person’s resting heart rate, the greater the risk of premature death. Specifically, an RHR between 81 and 90 doubled the chance of death, while an RHR higher than 90 tripled it." TRIPLED the chance of premature death!!

So when I say I am GRATEFUL for Plexus and that it saved my life, this is quite literally the case. My health as made a complete turn around. Many aspects of my health have improved since giving my body the tools it needs to help with insulin resistance, gut health and inflammation, but this might be the most significant indicator yet.
Things just keep getting better. This is why I keep shouting from the roof tops!! If I would have known I would have started 10 years ago. What is the price of extending your life? How about the quality of your life?
Gut health. Inflammation. Blood sugar balance. It's a big deal. Get to the root. Give your body tools it needs to thrive. It's so simple. A few supplements. It's the best investment you could ever make.
May 24th-
Our ward had a talent show for the primary kids and a cake walk. Levi was SO excited to share his "finger castle" and still asks to go back on stage to show everyone again his cool castle. I'm so glad for a ward where a little 3 year old can get on stage and do something silly with his fingers and leave feeling like a million bucks. He also got his own cake- a whole cake! With bugs on it! So it was pretty much the best day of his life. Thanks Halli and your presidency for putting this together. It was SO great!!
May 24th- Lost another sweet friend to cancer this week. She was 34. So tragic that her sweet kids and husband don't have more time with her. Rest in peace Misty Dial Bridges.
May 28th- It's so exhausting being a baby!! Caleb is 2 months old! We will be blessing him in church this Sunday June 1st at 12 p.m. We welcome anyone to come attend the service with us!

May 29th- I caught it!! His first smile on camera! 😍😍 This made my whole day better! Which needed some improvement- this little guy got his 2 month shots today and his tongue tie snipped, so he's been SUPER fussy!
We also found out he's 12lbs 2 oz- which means he's basically doubled in size since we brought him home!! He's now 50th percentile for weight, making him the biggest Brinkerhoff baby so far, but also only 2nd percentile for height, making him a little squirt! Short and stocky- built like a Brinkerhoff!
